Apprentice Programs

Our apprenticeships combine classroom instruction with supervised on-the-job training. The result is a highly-engaging learning environment that ensures the best individual training possible, while complying with OSHA mandated regulations.

Most apprenticeships offer:
  • Pay that increases with progressive learning
  • A full spectrum of benefits (according to their designated union)
  • Challenging steady work and abundant opportunities for growth and advancement
  • Department of Labor (DOL) accreditation depending on specific apprenticeship
  • Up to 32 college credit hours toward various degree programs

To be eligible for an apprenticeship, applicants must:
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Receive a recommended status on corresponding test created by the Electric Energy Institute (EEI)
  • Complete Ameren’s comprehensive field test
  • Complete a satisfactory background check and drug screen
