Mark Twain Transmission Project

Process

In developing the Mark Twain Transmission route, input from area residents, community leaders, landowners, and other stakeholders was collected for selection evaluation over a two year period of public open houses.

Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois carefully considered the data received to develop a proposed route for the new transmission line. Siting sensitivities were identified through these public meetings, as well as siting opportunities, cost and design.
